So the starting continues...

...and the gears just grind, Jack. I am outside the elementary school where I am Gym teacher for the whole week- which as far as subbing jobs goes is a good gig. It is trying though. They want structure but the lessons are so simplistic that they want you to do as a sub that it's hard to keep the kids into it. Oh well. Subbing has it's share of moments- good, bad, epiphenal, and indifferent. It is another in a fairly long line of "fly on the wall of 'educatation in America'" kinds of jobs I've had intermittantly over the years. T0 whit:
  • Tutor in Santa Cruz where the boy hated me because he was in love with Kathy and the girl innocently enough I have to assume let the monster Great Dane bitch out to attack my ass but good on what of course turned out to be my last day tutoring those two affluent ingrates.

From Saul of the Northwest:
Cute little blog you have there my soolay bro. Beige in a distinctive
way. And just what do you want from me? Comments and response to the
stream of thought you are generating? And if that is the case, lead
me through it. Do I comment, or create blog, or what. You see, I am
not yet a blogger of any kind. I am merely a web cruising sometime
e-mail writing-fly-on the wall that really thinks the whole kit and
kaboodle is going into the shitter in a matter of years. And I'm not
talking geologic time frames here. But, if it will gladden your heart
to have Saul of the Soolay at your side on the blog, spewing his
nonsense next to yours.....................well, I have to give it a
shot. After all, we should have been dead that day in the Soolay Bay
when the mysterious energy was creeping about and left us in tact.
Got myself a used kickbike to reward my year of on budget Saulness.
You can see what I'm talking about on kickbike.com. Promptly strained
my left calf the first day, and really tore the right one good the
next. Can't be idle for months and then be the cowboy athlete in a
very specific new way and expect that it will go as it did at the
height of my chiseled athleticism back in the 80's. The idea is to
have some fun with the low impact cross between running and cycling
that it provides. Great workout in short order (if you don't hurt
yourself striding for the maximum out of the gate).
So give me the lowdown on the blog response.
Funny, your mail was in the spam box today. Why was that? What does
that have to say about our prospects?
